This is a very discouraging report that you may not want to read. Only 3% of Americans follow all four basic rules of health - donít smoke, eat properly, exercise regularly and maintain a healthy weight.

A study was done in Michigan surveying more than 150,000 adults to determine if they didnít smoke, ate fruits and vegetables every day, exercised for at least 30 minutes five times per week and had a healthy body mass index.

76% didnít smoke. 40% had maintained a healthy weight, but 60% had not.

Less than 1/4 ate fruits and vegetables daily and less than 1/4 exercised on a regular basis.

Researchers believe people do not exercise because they tend to drive everywhere they go and they do not eat healthy because they are eating too much fast food.
